چکیده

The ultrafast pump–probe measurement represents a key technique to study fs–ps dynamics. asynchronous optical sampling (ASOPS) method realizes fast and long time-range with high time resolution using different repetition frequency light pulses. difference Δ f is an important parameter, as it dictates the resolution. However, usual ASOPS measurements require complex precise stabilizer control or difficult change f. In this study, we use two free-running titanium/sapphire pulse lasers develop variable (VRF-ASOPS) without feedback loop, where can easily alter by changing cavity length of probe laser. To detect coincidences pulses, cause instantaneous reflectivity in 100 nm platinum film irradiating pump observe light. We signal trigger directly determine f, which enables us average convert measured responses loop. Using VRF-ASOPS system, obtain echo signals GHz Brillouin oscillations, are equivalent those mechanical delay line method, confirming validity our developed method.

Asynchronous optical sampling with arbitrary detuning between laser repetition rates.

A method of asynchronous optical sampling based on free-running lasers with no requirement on the repetition rates is presented. The method is based on the a posteriori determination of the delay between each pair of pulses. A resolution better than 400 fs over 13 ns total delay scan is demonstrated. In addition to the advantages of conventional asynchronous sampling techniques, this method all...

Variable pulse repetition frequency for the GPM dual-frequency radar

In space missions, the delay of a receiving signal to a transmission signal generally spans a few thousands microseconds due to long range observation. An efficient sampling can be achieved by transmitting pulses successively, as schematically shown in Fig. 1. For the later consideration, a catching integer n is to be introduced. In Fig. 1, the catching integer n is set at 11, for which a pulse...

A decade-spanning high-resolution asynchronous optical sampling terahertz time-domain and frequency comb spectrometer.

We present the design and capabilities of a high-resolution, decade-spanning ASynchronous OPtical Sampling (ASOPS)-based TeraHertz Time-Domain Spectroscopy (THz-TDS) instrument. Our system employs dual mode-locked femtosecond Ti:Sapphire oscillators with repetition rates offset locked at 100 Hz via a Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) operating at the 60th harmonic of the ∼80 MHz oscillator repetition rat...

A Novel Sampling Approach in GNSS-RO Receivers with Open Loop Tracking Method

Propagation of radio occultation (RO) signals through the lower troposphere results in high phase acceleration and low signal to noise ratio signal. The excess Doppler estimation accuracy in lower troposphere is very important in receiving RO signals which can be estimated by sliding window spectral analysis. To do this, various frequency estimation methods such as MUSIC and ESPRIT can be adopt...

Frequency-time coherence for all-optical sampling without optical pulse source

Sampling is the first step to convert an analogue optical signal into a digital electrical signal. The latter can be further processed and analysed by well-known electrical signal processing methods. Optical pulse sources like mode-locked lasers are commonly incorporated for all-optical sampling, but have several drawbacks. A novel approach for a simple all-optical sampling is to utilise the fr...
